Skill, Raw Energy, Fluidity, Dynamics, Presence, Blues, Rock, Originality - It’s been awhile since all of these ingredients were combined in a way that entices the aural appetite quite like this. Put them together; throw them on a stage under hot multi-colored lights, and voile! You have the Underground Blues Division.
Formed in September 2007, the Underground Blues Division has made it their quest to get back to the way music is supposed to be: raw, soulful, and with intent. This power trio consists of Nathan Keck on guitar, Brad "Dirk McNasty" Williams on bass, and Jeremy Miller on drums, with all three having parts in the vocal scheme. With their live show consisting of mostly original material, they are making themselves known as a recognizable talent in the blues/rock genre. Their sound can be classified alongside current blues artists and influences such as the Jonny Lang Band, Chris Duarte Group, Government Mule, and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. |

Nathan Keck, the band's 25-year-old front man, has spent his last 10 years honing his skill as a musician, vocalist, and showman, and has become one of the nation's top up-and-coming blues/rock guitarists. He focuses his energy outward, emanating a presence that gains immediate attention. He focuses his energy outward, emanating a presence that gains immediate attention. He has shared stages with several of blues/rock’s household names including Michael Burks, Wes Jeans, Lance Lopez, Bob Margolin, and Chris Duarte, and gotten their nods of approval. He is on his way to becoming one of the next blues guitar heroes of his time. UBD bassist Brad "Dirk McNasty" Williams began as an acoustic guitarist, making his way as a singer/songwriter all his own. After meeting Keck at a show in mid 2007, a friendship was formed that would lead to a brotherhood in music. This power trio would be powerless without the driving, syncopating rhythms of 26-year-old drummer Jeremy Miller.
The Underground Blues Division admirally represented the Blues Society Of The Ozarks in the 2009 International Blues Competition in Memphis. Keep an ear and an eye out for them. Soon, they will be extremely hard to miss.

Amazing guitar playing, harmonized vocals, unique songs, beautiful harmonica tones, and a great stage presence is what makes up the band Black Suede. Bobby Gardner will coax noises out of his guitar that are indescribable as Cory Swift makes the harmonica howl. Rick Turpen keeps a steady rhythm with the bass as Jake Stringer beats on the skins. Black Suede has played the stage with Wes Jeans, Scott Holt, Monte Montgomery, and Michael Burks. Blues provides the feeling, and Black Suede makes it music.
